TIDA-00443 is a suitable inverter based feed BLDC / PMSM motor electrical 900W power factor regulator converter. The reference design is a continuous conduction mode boost converter, and through the use of UCC28180 PFC controller and built all the necessary protection mechanisms. Within 50% to 100% of the wide range of operating load, the design supports 195 VAC to 270 VAC wide AC input, and to achieve> 97% of high efficiency.

TIDA-00443 used in the boost follower configuration helps reduce PFC regulator and downstream of the inverter / converter switching losses. When using a boost-follower configuration, this reference design can achieve about 98% efficiency. Compared with fixed-voltage operation, the boost-follower configuration at 230 VAC voltage and full load additional saving 5.2W power consumption.

TIDA-00443 is designed to also comply with Class A and Class D standard IEC-61000-2-3 iTHD restrictions. In addition, by virtue of its low ripple bus, the bus capacitor, RMS current and built-in front-end protection mechanism, this design can also enhance the overall system performance. The hardware design has been tested for electrical household appliances through conduction emission EN55014, EFT and surge requirements.
